Traditional orchards are meadows and pastures with large fruit trees, which are cultivated in an environmentally friendly manner and without the use of pesticides. They are characterised by their high biodiversity and are of high ecological value. However, large traditional orchards are becoming increasingly rare in the FrankfurtRhineMain region. For this reason, the Regional Authority FrankfurtRheinMain supports its member municipalities in preserving the remaining stocks. With expertise, creative ideas, commitment and better networking, our traditional orchards are to be sustainably protected.
