We are a fair european metropolitan region

In 2021 the FrankfurtRhineMain Metropolitan Region was awarded the title of fair european Metropolitan region. Alongside the Nuremberg and Ruhr metropolitan regions, the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region is now the third German fair metropolitan region and the first fair trade region to encompass three German federal states.

Rhein.Main.Fair association

This achievement was made possible by the Rhein.Main.Fair association. The Regional Association is a member of Rhein.Main.Fair and supports the association's steering group. For the association, the award is a first step towards ensuring that the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are implemented in our region.

To achieve this, the association promotes fair trade, sustainable procurement and education for sustainable development. The association is supported by municipalities, churches, NGOs, local stores and many other committed people who want to make a change.
